3rd Day Hair

4:10 AM Posted In , , , Edit This 1 Comment »

Today I am sporting Third day hair. This is the straight out of bed, no product, no trying look :) I actually like it, I used a new product, so I have a review. Regis DesignLine Olive Oil Conditioner, not the leave in, just the regular conditioner. It makes an awesome leave in, it is really thick, I wouldn't suggest it for use as a detangler, stick with suave, it is more slick and easier to get through the hair. I bought it at a hair shop that just opened near my house, if he has more, I will buy it, if he doesn't, I will roll straight into Regis and stock up and use that as a leave in. My hair regime from the last wash is the following.

Co-wash with the Regis DesignLine Olive Oil Conditioner-not real good for detangling hair not washed in over a week!!!!
Shampoo-Ojon Shampoo to get rid of buildup
Regis DesignLine Olive Oil Conditioner as leave in.
After washing and using leave in added Oyin Handmade Afterbath Body Oil
Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment-For more Moisture
Kinky Kurly Kurling Custard for gel and hold.

I ran out of Anita Grant, so I need to restock. I will do that today!!!!!!

Diet-I have to work on this

6:29 AM Posted In , , , Edit This 0 Comments »
I have found a diet plan online I like and I am going to modify it to see how things go.

I found it here at Debra Moorhead.com. This woman lost 25 pounds in one month by simply reducing calories, I will try it as well, it can't hurt.

My Plan:

Ultimate Weight Goal: 130 lbs
Daily Calorie Intake: no more than 1575 calories
Point Goal:31 points (weight watchers)

I plan to use the points and calories goal. If I reach first calorie max or weight watchers point goal, I will stop there, no more after that. I am using the points guide as a way to monitor my fat and fiber intake.

I plan to introduce exercise slowly. This week no excercise, next week 3 days 30 minutes a day of DDR, I know I am a geek!!!

I also plan to take Alli, the new FDA approved over the counter diet pill, which is a fat blocker.

I will also allow myself one cheat day a week to eat what I want.

OK Finally an update!!!!! Ojon and Oyin Handmade

I have recently tried Ojon ultra hydrating shampoo, conditioner, and the restorative hair treatment. I will go through this pretty quick.

The Shampoo:
Nice, basic shampoo, I could rock Suave with the same results, I could take it or leave it.

The Conditioner:
Run for the hills, this stuff does nothing for me, it doesn't help with detangling, it doesn't seem to make my hair softer, I am not a fan of it. Run far away from it.

Restorative Hair Treatment: This was the best of the Ojon products, it made for a great leave in conditioner, but to be honest, Anita Grant is still better to me, I am an Anita Grant Fan!!!!! So far she has the best products, for the best bucks.

I also tried Oyin Handmade products. I got the Greg Juice, Honey Hemp Conditioner, Afterbath Blended Oil, and 3 sticks of Honeytint.

Greg Juice: Pretty nice day to day product, I used in between washes as a reviver. Or if wearing a pony tail a way to wet down my hair to reduce frizzies and fly aways, I am a great fan of this. The smell is the clear winner. It isn't much difference perfomance wise from the DevaCurl Mist-er Right, but the smell has won, it just smells better to me. I like the Lavender smell of DevaCurl, but this has more punch, so it wins as the better product.

Honey Hemp Conditioner: I am a big fan of this, a little goes a long way, and it makes for a great leave in conditioner. It left my hair very, very soft. It smells a little manly from the hemp, but is very very nice as a conditioner for detangling, and for leave in.

Afterbath Blended Oil: This product is awesome because it is multipurpose. It is great for my skin and my hair. I used this to moisturize dry spots on my skin and it worked wonderfully, it has a nice smell as well. I used it in my hair to add essential moisture and it left my hair very soft as well. This product is awesome!!!!!

Honeytint:
This isn't really hair related, but it is lip chap with color. I purchased all three colors. The colors are very subtle, just a hint, most people probably wouldn't notice, but the product does moisturize the lips very well. If you want moisture great, if you want color get lipstick or lip gloss because the color won't be noticable for the most part except for "The Darker The Berry" that shade is very noticable, it looked almost like a deep deep purple on my lips, not attractive on me at all, but in a pinch it will work as a lip chap so I am keeping it :) That shade made me feel as if I had Whoopi Goldberg lips, not pretty at all. I like Whoopi, but her dark lips and lack of eye brows is very scary.

Overall my pics would be for the Oyin handmade products. Ojon didn't work for me, I am not a fan, there are less costly products that work better in my opinion.

OMG I so suck

The past month has been horrid. I have not updated this blog. I have tried new product, Ojon, Oyin's handmade, and not given you an update. The diet has gone to hell, the natural girl kick has been limited to the wash and go. No new styles, just new headbands. I promise a more elaborate update later on.
